The boarders had a fantastic, busy weekend. On Saturday afternoon, some practised hockey, some practised netball, some played games and some did revision. We also managed a shopping trip into Salisbury and some enjoyed a Costa hot chocolate! Later, we attended a wonderful, emotional evening of musical celebration and fund-raising in St Thomas’ church.
On Sunday, after a delicious breakfast, some Welsh cake cooking (Happy St David’s Day, Mrs Webster!) and a bit more revision for our Year 8 children, we travelled to Reading to watch London Irish take on Wasps in a Premiership rugby clash. After a slow first half, Wasps (the boarders’ preferred team), turned on the style and ran out deserved winners.
After a tasty roast supper, we finally settled, exhausted but happy, in front of the TV for a movie before bed.
