Sports Facilities
Chafyn Grove School is known for it’s sport. Our children benefit from having everything on their doorstep. On site there is a purpose built two storey sports hall which enables the children to do trampolining, badminton, parkour and indoor games but most importantly ensures when the weather is too bad afternoon games can still continue.
The outside swimming pool is used from April – October and all children from nursery – year 8 have regular lessons.
In addition, Chafyn Grove has its own hockey AstroTurf, netball courts, squash courts, rugby pitch, football field and cricket ground.
Our Outside Space
As long as the children have the appropriate shoes on during their breaks, the children are encouraged to roam free. Children are often found climbing the trees, playing hide and seek around the school and most importantly getting lots of fresh air in a secure surrounding.
Around the school perimeter there is an assault course (dingly dell) this area is used regularly during afternoon activities for bushcraft. Dens are built, fires are lit and children take part in the ropes course.
The latest addition to the school grounds is a climbing wall which the children have enjoyed enhancing their climbing skills. There is also an outdoor classroom which is regularly used as well as a large adventure playground for all to enjoy.

We are delighted to be able to share our facilities here at the Chafyn Grove School with the wider community. We are able to hire out a wide range of facilities all year round, including our:
Superb Performance Hall which is ideal for a large function or theatrical production. Newly built Pre-Prep Hall which is ideal for club or society speaking or a venue for meetings or presentations. Sports Hall, with viewing gallery, which can accommodate: badminton, cricket, 5-aside football, tennis, volleyball, basketball, netball and indoor hockey, to name a few. Sports equipment (goals, netball posts, badminton uprights, etc.) are included within the hire fee.
The school as a whole is available for lettings for a maximum of 4 weeks during the Summer Holidays, normally on a self-catering, self-cleaning basis.
