CHAFYN GROVE - SALISBURY
There were some treats during the Summer Concert last night. Some from our youngest musicians, such as Jack, Rosie and Lewis, and others from our talented Year 8 Leavers. We have watched them grow in skill and confidence as performers over the years and Elizabeth, Riya and Elena impressed again with their singing. The accomplished flutists, Polly and Alexandra gave an assured performance of Shostakovich’s waltz and Nones Voces made a great sound with their negro spirituals. One unexpected treat was given by Rafael Serrall, a Spanish professional guitarist who, by luck was visiting Mr Hill. He will play to the school again on Thursday after lunch. The evening was rounded off – after the trumpets found their music- by the Jazz Band, playing Tuxedo Junction and the James Bond Theme. If you missed it, it was a great evening!
