CHAFYN GROVE - SALISBURY
Year 4 explored the Living Rainforest recently, learning about how the animals and plants have adapted for survival. We saw lots of animals including: turtles, snakes, tortoises, hissing cockroaches, a Salmon Pink Bird Eating Spider and pygmy marmosets. We weren’t fortunate enough to spot the sloth though. The children were equally in awe of the enormous leaves and their ability to drain the water away. Pitcher plants and bromeliads were amongst our favourite rainforest plants. A fantastic experience, although some found the humidity a little hot to handle!
