 Children from the Pre-Prep and Nursery at Chafyn had a wonderful surprise when Father Christmas arrived on a tractor during their Christmas Party this week. The excited children gathered in the playground where Father Christmas handed out end of term gifts. | ||

 Pupils across the age range at Chafyn Grove took part in two delightfully different productions of Cinderella last week. On Wednesday, children in the Early Years department took to the stage to act out a short version of this well known fairy tale, complete with boys dressed as ugly sisters, a beautiful fairy godmother and a pumpkin coach. | ||

 The Under 11 girls Hockey team recently celebrated their success having won a place in the IAPS National Finals. The qualifying tournament took place at Millfield School where the girls competed against 26 other schools. | ||

 Pupils from Chafyn Grove have recently returned from a four day Hockey
tour in Spain. The mixed squad of 23 players flew to Barcelona during
Half Term where they played a number of challenging matches against
strong teams from the Catalan region. While they were away the children
benefited from coaching sessions run by the Swiss international, Saskia
Muller. | ||

 Year 1 pupils from Chafyn Grove recently had the
opportunity to be time travellers for the day when they visited Manor
Farm, Botley. The farm retains many features from the late nineteenth
century and as soon as the children crossed the threshold they found
themselves doing the laundry in the copper, pummelling the clothes with
the wash dolly and baking bread rolls on the wood-fired range. | ||
