Children from the Early Years Department at Chafyn have been to Fovant to visit a real working farm. The orphaned lambs seemed very happy to be fed and cuddled. The cows and pigs seemed as curious about the children as they were about them; they saw a calf that was just a day old and were amazed that he could already stand up and walk around! The children particularly loved to see the horses and ponies and had lots of questions about all of the animals they saw. Last but not least, they had the chance to look at the tractors and farm machinery. Back at school they enjoyed setting up a farm and a farm shop in their classroom along with a horse jumping course on the field.
