Children at Chafyn Grove are more likely to be tired than bored, as each day is filled with a variety of opportunities allowing the children to explore possibilities beyond the classroom. Our holistic approach to education is a strength of the school and we hope that children will find interests that stay with them for many years.
Learning to be part of a team, having the self-discipline to practise a musical instrument, expressing oneself in art or drama, even learning to cook; these are all important life skills! We also work hard to take pupils out of the school environment with a variety of trips, both in term time and in the holidays.
Sport is encouraged at all levels, with up to 20 different teams playing on match days – all children represent the school each term. The boys play rugby, hockey and cricket, and the girls play hockey, netball, rounders and tennis, but we play many different sports at other times.
